Seeing the unnecessary burdens that the Michigan Senators are looking to impose on homeschooling families, I felt it would be helpful to draft a template letter for others to use when contacting their representatives. The letter details how these burdens are an infringement on the personal well-being of families who choose to homeschool their children.
I included both a Microsoft Word and PDF version so that these can be downloaded on any computer. Please feel free to use any or all of the letter, or to rephrase it for yourself. Once you have your letter written, find your State Representative and State Senator and send it along.
I cannot recommend enough that you educate yourself on the issues at hand. Please do NOT rely on the “talking heads” in Lansing with respect to this or any other issue. A very helpful interview with Israel Wayne on WJR was conducted and is very concise in brining one up to speed on the issue.
